Home LIfe

It's been an interesting week for us. Most exciting so far is Melissa graduated pre-school. I wish that I could have been there to see her. I know that she has made so much progress. Not even a year ago she only knew a few phrases in english. Now she can carry on full conversations with people in english, more than that, you would be lucky to get in a word with her while talking to her. She loves to talk and is not afraid to talk to anybody. She is the most adorable little girl too, so anybody that does get a chance to talk to and meet her is an instant fan. She has also impressed her teachers at the pre-school she has been going to and they have told us that they wish they could have 20 of her in the class.
Noah is now just a few days shy of being 2 months old. He is growing so fast and Eva tells me about how I am missing out on all of the fun stuff. He is curious of everything going on around him and he has a great smile.
Noah is not the only one getting older either. Eva is having a birthday on the 19th this month. Apparently her husband is a master gift finder. Well, in all honesty we are all hoping that he does better next year. I wish her all the best this year on her birthday and that she enjoys it. She means everything to me and if there was a way to put that in a gift that's what I would get her. She is a great wife and a great mother also.
Our anniversary is also coming up at the end of this month. It sometimes seems like bad timing on my part to have gotten married so close to my wife's birthday. Too much for one man to remember in one month? Some may think so but I hope to do ok through the years. At least I have remembered this year.
As for me I have still been very busy in Baghdad. I am currently making trips too often into downtown Baghdad to help build and maintain a network that we are trying very hard to get the Iraqi Army to use in order to be more efficient out here. When that happens it will be much easier for us to leave this place in hands that are capable of handling their own issues. Work unfortunately is my life here, and I miss my family back in Germany, and my family back in the States too. I wish you all the best, and can't wait to see you all again.

Beautiful family, Ron. We can't wait to meet them hopefully someday soon. Take care and know that we are thinking of you.
